New Start and new Stitching method!!

Hi!!

I couldn't resist more the temptation and start Cupid and Psyche...
The first days I stitch with my antique tecnique (country stutch)  I stitched two colors .
But again watching Flosstube I found a video that motivated me to try this technique.... PARKING

I just can say that I'm in loved with the result, I feel is easier, faster and for me that's enough, so for the moment I will focus in this pattern and try the new method with old WIP's like Mystic stitch and all my HAED's .

Before
Start Parking

After:
3 days after (1500 stitches aprox)

If you want to see the video with the parking technique I leave the link  HERE

Happy Stitching!!

  1. Glad to see your start on this one Karen :) It's looking great so far! There's heaps more colour and detail than the picture lets on! I've watched that video on parking before (out of interest as I also stitch cross country). I think parking would just frustrate me and I see it turning into a nightmare of tangled threads (as I think I may have a talent for thread tangling! ;). I might try parking one day on a pattern with less colours than the current ones I'm working on. I think working with less colours would make it easier. Love the fact you are trying all these new things at the moment though! :)

    1. You should try Megan, I wanted to start parking in this one because are only 17 colors, but definitely I will try it in Nocturne and Mystic Stitch =D

  2. Lovely, I look forward to seeing your progress.
I park sometimes and not others, and I don't know why!

  3. That is so weird I just posted a link to that very same youtube video on my blog yesterday but for a different reason. I was promoting her dragon chart that she was stitching. It's a very good demonstration of parking isn't it. I love the parking method and use it on almost all my wips. I'm glad you found a technique that you love. Great progress on this amazing chart.
