In this time of the year I want to thank all the stitchers that read my blog, for being here with very kind comments encouranging me to continue. i love to stitch but all we know that in some moments we loose for some time the interesting for stitching.

This was a good year and I hope was for all of you too

Stitching exhibition

Hello beautiful stitchers

Today I want to share an experience I had in last days here in Mexico city in the museum Franz Mayer.

I had the oportunity to visit an exhibition of embroidery labours of mexican girls and womans in XIX and half XX centuries.

This is the poster of the exposition

The meaning of the words stitched:

"This embroidery was made by Maria de Jesus Martinez in the Convent of the new instruction  in San juan de Dios, it concludes before age 6 "

Can you imagine a little little girl of 5 years almost 6 stitching in linen with silk??  Amazing!

This is the complete project of this little girl:

Other embroideries in the exhibition:

Almost all the embroideries were made in linen and threads of silk in years 1800 to 1910

It was a beautiful experience

I just want to share this special moment with all of you

De regreso!!!! --- I'm Back!!!!

After a year that I didn't appear in my blog I have decided to return, because I miss it.

The end of the past year was very hard for me and my family but now finally we have returned to our normal lives.

I didn't have enthusiasm about stitching and my progress was very poor, but now I find the stitching worm, I dont want to loose it for a while!!

In the next days I will share my little progress.

Después de un año que no me aparecia en mi blog  he decidido volver, porque lo extraño.

El final del año pasado fue muy difícil para mí y mi familia, pero ahora por fin hemos ha vuelto la normalidad.

No tenía ganas de bordar y mi progreso era muy pobre, pero ahora encontre de nuevo el gusanito bordador y no quiero perderlo por un bastante tiempo!

En los próximos días estaré poniendo lo poco que hice
